2023 Yunnan SearchingTea Gong Ting Pu erh in Tangerine “Man Song” Ancient Arbor Raw Pu Erh Tea Cake
$8.80 – $78.80
Description
Man Song Village has a history of more than 400 years! It became known in the Yongzheng period as a source of top pu erh tea, and in 1735, tea from the original grove of trees in Man Song became tribute tea and was picked and consumed only by the Emperor and his court. It’s arguable that Man Song village tea is what put Yi Wu on the map and in the history books.
Like its neighbor Yi Bang, Man Song tea trees are a mixed-leaf varietal with an incredibly elegant and complex character. Balanced bitter and sweet, astringent and lubricating, and with a strong, long-lasting hui gan. The taste is rich and pure; there is a crisp woodiness in the tea followed by a thick sweetness. It yields a golden tea soup.
Our Man Song tea was plucked in mid-October from 50 to 150-year-old tea trees growing naturally and no pesticides or artificial fertilizers are used. Although not from old tea trees, the environment is pure and bio-diverse. If you have never tried Man Song tea then you’ll find this is an excellent example of Man Song village tea.
